Josephine Burns Forman
SAN ANTONIO - Josephine Burns Forman passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2009.
She was born in Del Rio, Texas, June 13, 1913 to wonderful parents, John
Alexander and Grace Burns Forman. She graduated from Del Rio High School in 1929; from Westmoorland College in San Antonio in 1932; and received a BBA from UT-Austin in 1934.
For 35 years, she was a dedicated employee at Pitman and Company of San
Antonio. She was active in local and conference of the United Methodist Church. She was the conference archivist for 18 years.
Miss Forman was the author of “We Finish to Begin”, a history of Travis Park United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her brother, John Naylor Forman; two nephews, Baby Forman and John Forman. Miss Forman is survived by her nephew, George Forman; two great-nephews, Eric Forman and Aaron Forman; and a great niece, Tabitha Lopez.
Graveside service will be Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 1 p.m. in Westlawn Cemetery in Del Rio,Texas.
