Thomas Contreras Jr.
Thomas Contreras Jr., age 82, entered into rest on October 10, 2009 in Del Rio, Texas. He was born April 6, 1927 in Del Rio, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Librada Contreras; brothers: Rodolfo Contreras and Carlos Contreras.
Mr. Contreras retired from Laughlin Air Force Base in 1989, after 27 years of dedicated service in the Department of the Air Force. Additionally, he was a United States Army Veteran.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 60 years: Josefina Contreras; sons: Richard Contreras; Tomas Contreras III and wife Vicky; Albert Contreras and wife Velma of Irving, Texas; Eloy Contreras and wife Leonora of Selma, Texas; Xavier Contreras and wife Gloria of Arizona; daughter: Cecilia Herrera and husband Armando; sisters: Librada C. Lopez and Elida C. Rodriguez; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12, 2009 from 5:00PM-9:00PM, Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral, Chapel of Remembrance. Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 (Time Pending) Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
