William Orvet Stewart Jr.,
William Orvet Stewart Jr., 91, passed away October 22, 2009 in Del Rio, Texas. He was born April 28, 1918 in Melrose, MA.
He is survived by his wife: Lillian Stewart of Del Rio; son: Robert Stewart of Lockhart, Texas and grandson Robbie Stewart; daughter: Gini Cowart and her husband Jim of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren and seven great-grand children.
William served 26 honorable years in the United States Air Force, retiring in Del Rio in 1974 as a Senior Master Sergeant.
He was also a Licensed Real Estate Agent, Notary Public, District Commander of the VFW for 2 terms, Military Order of the Cootie’s, Masonic Lodge member and a Shriner.
Visitation will be on Sunday, 5-9P.M, October 25, 2009 at G. W. Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
Chapel service will on Monday, 2:00P.M, October 26, 2009 followed with interment at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
Officiating will be Gerald L. Prather, Chaplain, Maj. Gen., USAF (Ret.). Military honors by LAFB will be celebrated.
