Today is last day to vote in 'Big Game' poll

Fans of Del Rio High School Rams football can do their part to convince San Antonio television station KSAT-12 to feature Friday night’s District 29-5A title game between the Rams and the San Antonio Southwest Dragons as its “Big Game of the Week.”
It’s easy to do.
1. Go online and visit www.biggamecoverage.com
2. Scroll down to the “Fan Cam” portion of the website and click on the word “More”.
3. Click on the phrase “BGC Fan Cam Survery” (it should say survey, but it’s spelled ‘survery’ on the website).
4. A small window should open up with four game choices. The top choice is Southwest vs. Del Rio. Click on the white circle next to that game and then hit the “Vote” button.
According to the website, voting results will be announced tonight on the 10 p.m. broadcast of KSAT-12 (local cable channel 12).
Vote early, vote often, but please remember to vote.
Friday night’s game between the Del Rio Rams (7-1 overall, 5-0 in district) and the San Antonio Southwest Dragons (7-0 overall, 5-0 in district) is scheduled to kickoff at 7:30 p.m. at Walter Levermann Ram Stadium.
If the winner of this game would hold the district lead with one game remaining for each. But because of the head-to-head tiebreaker, the winner of Friday’s game would essentially be district champions.
Southwest is the defending district champions and has won its last 23 district games beginning in District 27-5A in 2006.
The Rams have clinched a playoff berth for the second consecutive year and are seeking their first district title since the 1993-94 season.
Pre-sale tickets are currently on sale for Friday night’s game. Pre-sale tickets can be purchased today through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the school district’s athletic office located inside the Carl P. Guys Memorial Gymnasium at the high school.
Pre-sale tickets are $5 for general admission and $3 for students.
All tickets will be $6 at the gate.
San Felipe Del Rio CISD Dan Hurley said that if the stadium’s gates were closed for capacity concerns that all pre-sale ticket holders would be admitted.
